From Nashville to New York, Geneva to Glasgow, Berlin to Brazil, Kiran has delivered talks all over the world to some of the biggest names in business, non-profit, and government including the US State Department, the United Nations, NASA, and Rotary International.
Part of Kiran's public engagement is building partnerships that advance the work of professional storytelling as a tool for global change. Some of these partnerships include Dollywood's DreamMore Resort & Spa, Ballad Health's Unicoi County Hospital, the National Parks Service, and the Alliance for Peacebuilding. They also include special in-house projects such as Freedom Stories and Stories for Change—initiatives unlike any other.
His work is about far more than simple entertainment. He and his team at the International Storytelling Center use what is known as "applied storytelling," which inspires and empowers people to use storytelling to address real-world challenges and promote positive change. Stories build healthier communities, more effective workplaces, and more excellent schools. They broker peace and boost business. Stories support health and wellness, institutional change, scientific advances, and much more.
Utilizing applied storytelling methodology in all he does, Kiran engages individuals and organizations in truly unique ways. His projects go well beyond just giving a lecture or leading a workshop; at the heart is the storytelling movement, a revolution driving the world towards peace, justice, and compassion built on mutual respect and empathy.
(Please note: While live, in-person events are still much preferred, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced us all to rethink how we gather. As such, Kiran's talks can be delivered either in-person or virtually via the video-conference platform of your choice.)
